Just before its showing at the Toronto International Film Festival, it was announced that, Color Out of Space, was picked up by RLJE Films, the same folks who brought Mandy to theaters. You can read about the acquisition at The Hollywood Reporter.
:: At the Saturn Awards this past Friday, Mandy won Best Independent Film Release and Star Wars Resistance picked up the Best Animated Television Series Award. Congrats!
:: Elijah and Daniel have yet another podcast under their belts. This time a two-parter from Trailers from Hell.
:: Come To Daddy and SpectreVision's Color Out of Space and Daniel Isn't Real will show at Beyond Fest in Los Angeles with the directors, producers and actors all in attendance.
:: Since there won't be a trailer for Come To Daddy, because one would just give too much away, I decided to do some editing work and came up with my own trailer.
:: After a two year absence, I'm heading back to Fantastic Fest this week and I'm excited to see some of the nearly 140 films and shorts. Last time I saw 44 films. Whew! I'll be back on the flip side, hopefully not suffering from the Fantastic Flu.
That's all... for now.

Just as one convention is over, more come along. First, Elijah had a stop over at the New Mexico Comic Expo a couple of weekends ago. You can click here to see him meet and greet the fans in Albuquerque.
:: It was just announced that Elijah is scheduled to make more convention circuit visits. He'll make repeat appearances at both the L.A. Comic Con on October 12th and the Rhode Island Comic Con in November.
:: More stills from Come To Daddy are out. Along with the inset photo there's this one and this one. Elijah's peculiar style in the film has earned a prestigious award from the Arrow FrightFest Festival which took place late August. He was given a nod for Best actor, but took top honors for the Most Savage Haircut. Judging from these images, it's well deserved!
:: Looking at the festival guide, Come To Daddy was the opening night film at FrightFest and took the night, and possibly the festival by storm. Countless attendees hailed it as one of the best, if not the best film of the festival and there were more great reviews from The Hollywood News, Love Horror , Filmotomy and Wicked Horror .
Incidentally, the film currently is sitting pretty at a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
:: SpectreVision's indie darling, Daniel Isn't Real, also screened at the festival and was up for several awards as well. But it snagged the Jury Prize for Best Feature at Popcorn Frights Film Festival. Way to go!
:: Lastly, Elijah dropped by the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin just prior to a Lord of the Rings Trilogy Feast. The food and drinks that were offered up were inspired by the films. It must have been a wonderful time with all those meals and a great movie. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
